If you qualify, they can help with things like case management, independent living, employment, social and recreation programs, housing resources, behavioral services, respite care, and much more. If you're unsure whether you're eligible, it's still worth reaching out. The 21 regional centers are listed below:

Sliding Scale Directory
Open Path Collective is a nonprofit that connects people with therapists who offer lower-cost, sliding scale therapy. You can browse the directory for free, and if you find a therapist you'd like to work with, you'll pay a one-time lifetime membership fee of $65. After that, you'll have ongoing access to therapists who offer sessions for $40–$70. I love that Open Path makes affordable therapy easier to find while also supporting therapists with continuing education and other professional resources. It creates a community that benefits both clients and clinicians.
Social Justice Directories
TherapyDen is a social justice-focused therapist directory designed to make finding the right therapist a little easier. In addition to searching by things like location, cost, and specialty, you can also filter by therapist identities, including gender, race and ethnicity, and LGBTQIA+ identity. If finding a therapist with shared lived experiences is important to you, TherapyDen offers a more intentional way to narrow your search.

Identity or Affinity Based Directories
These directories are designed to help people find therapists with shared identities, cultural backgrounds, or lived experiences. Many allow you to search by things like race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, religion, disability, or other communities and interests that may be important to you. If you don't find many therapists who match what you're looking for, don't get discouraged. You may have better luck using some of the larger therapist directories listed below and searching with keywords related to your identity, values, or specific needs.
